Original desk & home goods, made in the USA
Cape & Grain Co. designs and hand-finishes solid-oak, walnut, and stoneware pieces for the desk and the home — every catalog item is our own design, cut and joined in our small Massachusetts workshop.
Featured Products
Four originals from our workshop — solid hardwoods, hand-thrown stoneware, and brass hardware sourced domestically.
A single-slab oak tray with a routed brass-lined edge, sized to gather your keys, notebook, and morning coffee in one place.
Three milled compartments for pens, cards, and small tools, joined without a single screw and finished with raw linseed oil.
A matched pair of stoneware mugs, wheel-thrown and glazed in small batches — no two sets are exactly alike.
Four coasters and a matching catchall dish, milled from reclaimed maple offcuts and sealed with a food-safe finish.
About Us
Cape & Grain Co. started on a workbench behind a hardware store on the Outer Cape, where the founders were tired of desk goods that looked handmade but were stamped out by the thousand. We only release a design once we've made and used it ourselves for a season.
Every board is selected, every joint cut, and every glaze mixed in our own workshop. We keep our runs small on purpose — it's the only way we can stand behind each piece as entirely our own.
Cape & Grain Co. does not sell replicas, imitations, or unlicensed copies of any other brand's products. Every item in our catalog is an original design, conceived, tooled, and finished by our own workshop, and sold under our own name.
How a piece gets made
We hand-pick oak, walnut, and maple boards for grain and stability before anything is cut.
Each piece is milled to our own drawings and joined in small batches in our Cape Cod workshop.
A food-safe oil finish is applied by hand, then every order is inspected and packed for shipping.
